Privacy Policy.

This Privacy Policy sets out how Gwonho collects, uses, discloses and retains personal information submitted through this website. It applies to every visitor to this website and to every person who submits an enquiry through it.

1. Personal information collected

1.1 Gwonho collects only the information that a visitor elects to submit. Both forms published on this website require a name and an email address, which are necessary in order to respond to the enquiry.

1.2 The quotation form additionally provides optional fields for a telephone number, a preferred date, the region in which the work is to be performed, the category of work required, a competing quotation, the manner in which the visitor became aware of Gwonho, and the content of the visitor's message.

1.3 This website does not provide for the creation of a user account and contains no facility by which a visitor may log in.

1.4 Gwonho does not collect sensitive information within the meaning of the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), and visitors are asked not to submit such information through the forms on this website.

2. Purpose of collection and use

2.1 Information submitted through a form on this website is converted into an email message and transmitted to Gwonho. It is not written to a database, and no customer relationship management system operates behind the forms.

2.2 The information is used for the purpose of responding to the enquiry, preparing a quotation, and performing the services if a booking is made.

2.3 Gwonho does not sell, rent or trade personal information, and does not add enquirers to a mailing list or send unsolicited marketing communications.

3. Recipients of personal information

3.1 Personal information may be disclosed to the following service providers, each of which performs a single function:

• Cloudflare, Inc. provides hosting for this website and accordingly receives the information ordinarily available to a web server, including the visitor's IP address. Cloudflare also provides the automated verification applied to the forms, and aggregate page view measurement. That measurement does not use cookies and does not track visitors across other websites.
• Resend transmits the email message generated by a form.
• GitHub, Inc. stores the files that comprise this website. No personal information submitted by visitors is stored there.

3.2 Gwonho does not otherwise disclose personal information to third parties, except where disclosure is required or authorised by law.

4. Typeface and third party requests

4.1 The typeface used on this website is served from this website's own domain. No request is made to Google Fonts or to any other external font provider, and no visitor IP address is disclosed to such a provider.

5. Disclosure outside Australia

5.1 Certain of the service providers identified in clause 3.1 are located outside Australia. Personal information may accordingly be received, processed and stored overseas, including in the United States.

6. Cookies and browser storage

6.1 This website sets no cookies of its own. The automated form verification described in clause 3.1 may set a cookie for the purpose of determining whether the visitor is a human being.

6.2 Two display preferences are stored in the visitor's own browser and are not transmitted to Gwonho: whether the visitor has enabled audio, and whether the visitor's device required the reduced version of the page. Both are discarded when the browser tab is closed, and neither identifies the visitor.

7. Photographic and video material

7.1 All photographs published on this website have their embedded metadata removed before publication. This is of particular relevance to aerial photographs, which record the coordinates at which they were captured.

7.2 Where Gwonho is engaged to perform work at which persons are to appear in the material, the client is responsible for informing those persons in advance. On a location at which members of the public are present, Gwonho will conduct the work so that persons are not the subject of the material unless the engagement requires otherwise.

7.3 A person who appears in material published on this website may request its removal, and Gwonho will remove it on request.

8. Retention

8.1 Enquiries are retained in Gwonho's email account. Records relating to a completed engagement are retained for the period required by Australian taxation law, and the delivered material is retained for a further period so that a client may obtain a further copy.

8.2 Gwonho will delete a person's personal information on request, other than information that Gwonho is required by law to retain.

9. Access and correction

9.1 A person may request access to the personal information that Gwonho holds about that person, may request its correction, and may request its deletion.

9.2 Gwonho does not publish an email address. All such requests must be made through the contact form on this website.

10. Complaints

10.1 A person who considers that Gwonho has mishandled that person's personal information should first notify Gwonho through the contact form, so that the matter may be addressed directly.

10.2 If the matter remains unresolved, the person may refer the complaint to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

11. Amendment

11.1 Gwonho may amend this Privacy Policy from time to time. The amended version takes effect on publication on this page, and the date below will be updated accordingly. No earlier version is retained.
